Our Journey

About a year ago, I realized that no matter how morally opposed to agribusiness and factory farming I am, it means nothing until I change the way we eat in our house. I beleive that sustainable agriculture starts at the kitchen table, not the farm. Although my home is built on only .28 acres, right outside Nashville, we’re working creatively with the space we have.  This blog is meant to document our journey, so that I can remember what to do and what not to do on the microfarm in future years, but also for anyone who’s interested in starting to produce their own food, or connecting with others who are trying to live sustainably without a whole lot of land or experience.

Our yard right after we moved in last spring. I was 7 months pregnant, so this year will be our first planting.
